Background

Hayden Valley, located in central Yellowstone National Park, is a vast, open grassland known for its stunning scenery and exceptional wildlife viewing. The Yellowstone River flows through the valley, which is home to iconic species like bison, grizzly bears, wolves, and a variety of birds such as bald eagles and sandhill cranes. Visitors can enjoy wildlife watching, photography, and hiking, with early mornings and evenings offering the best animal activity. Formed by ancient glaciers, Hayden Valley is a prime destination for nature enthusiasts and is easily accessible along the Grand Loop Road between Canyon Village and Fishing Bridge.

Objectives

This version focuses on developing a native macOS desktop application that integrates seamlessly with the back-end API to enhance the user experience.

The application will allow users to access their library directly from their desktop, offering a superior native experience compared to a web browser. It will also lay the foundation for future mobile and cross-platform desktop applications.

As part of this release, I will explore packaging the application as a standalone distribution, minimizing user interaction with back-end services. While an account will still be required, the application will be capable of running without an internet connection.
